Community Currency with Rondstat Generations

Show Flier

This Thursday, June 16th at 8pm, $5

Michael J. Ronstadt, younger brother of Linda Ronstadt, tours with his two sons, Michael G. and Petie to perform traditional folk, spirituals and original Americana tunes. The Ronstadts have been performing for five generations, passing on the rich culture of the Southwest. Learn more at http://ronstadtgenerations.com/

Bloomington’s Community Currency, led by brothers Nick and Matt Romy, will also be performing. They remind me of an early Avett Brothers, when their sets were filled with punked-up bluegrass. Community Currency takes a folky sweet sound and pumps it full of zeal and adrenaline.

They will be performing their original songs from their recently released CD Labor of Love (currently the #1 most-played local CD on WFHB Community radio 91.3 FM) A talented five piece, the Romy brothers are joined by Ben Fowler (drums), Susan Anderson (violin) and Evan Galup (vocals).
