Lazersaurus Live!
Here are my three things that are great about this upcoming Tuesday: Community Radio, beer from the Bishop, and Lazer-wielding dinosaurs. If you have tuned into WFHB on any random Tuesday, during the day-straddling hours of 11pm to 1am, you have heard host David Britton wax philosophic with local musicians and comedians about three subjects of their choice. Whether Addison Rogers is proposing the worst foods to choke down in a food-eating contest or Tom Brady is kissing ladies on the forehead, the ensuing conversations are always entertaining.
This Tuesday the themed conversations continue, live on stage, with Ziona Riley and Ben Moore, accompanied by music from The Delicious and Community Currency. The show starts at its normal hour of 11pm and is free. However it is part of the Fall Fund Drive for the home of the show, WFHB, and a few extra dollars will help the cause, as it subsists almost entirely on donations.
WFHB is community radio and a community asset that can be found at 91.3 and 98.1 in Bloomington or on the web at www.wfhb.org. In addition to its award-winning journalism and free-form music programming, the station is a great resource for promoting local music and events.
If you are out roaming around directly after work and want to get the party started early, there is a pre-show concert starting at 7pm at the Bishop, featuring Rodeo Ruby Love, The White Bread Boys, WHo Needs You and Onward to Iowa.
