BCEC seeks submissions for Battle of the Bands to open for a national act
Indiana University’s Business Careers in Entertainment Club (BCEC) is seeking submissions from local artists for a battle of the bands.
This battle of the bands has a huge prize involved. The winner will open at Addicted to Music for a national act. The headlining artist has yet to be released, but will be soon.
Addicted to Music’s mission is to inspire a movement that recognizes substance addiction as a disease and presents the numerous resources and outlets people can utilize for recovery. Addicted to Music is achieved through donations and fundraising, as well as partnerships with campus and addiction organizations. The movement strives to reform substance-abuse culture and to promote proposed state legislation to restructure the legal treatment of substance offenders (The Jennifer Act).
Addicted to Music is a free concert and is open to the public, with donations highly recommended. Donations will benefit Amethyst House and IU’s Alcohol and Drug Information Center.
Bands can enter by submitting their information to this website. Submissions will run through Sunday, March 4th. On March 5th, a preliminary round of voting will begin. The Addicted to Music website will display the information provided by each band and anyone can vote for their favorite band. The four bands who receive the most votes will battle for the opening act spot on Tuesday, March 20 at Max’s Place. The winner will be determined by a combination of judges scores and audience approval.
